Tools I Use

Honest, first-person descriptions โ€” nothing more, nothing less.

A straight-up disclosure: Every tool on this page is something I have personally used. If I haven't used it enough to speak to it honestly, it isn't on this page โ€” regardless of how popular it is. No affiliate links. No sponsored content. No tools I haven't touched myself. Full disclosure: I use Claude daily, including to help build this platform.

I use it for research, editing emails and documents, and brainstorming ideas. It was my first AI assistant and still earns its place in the rotation.

Research, editing, coding, project work, building websites, brainstorming โ€” this is my most-used tool by a wide margin. I use it daily, including to build and maintain this platform. Make of that what you will.

I've built slide decks, presentations, and designed marketing materials in Canva. It's accessible enough for someone who is not a designer and produces professional-looking results.

Anthropic Prompt Library

Free

Early on I used this quite a bit to get ideas on streamlining my prompting. The examples and suggestions are genuinely useful โ€” if you're just starting out with AI assistants, this is a good place to begin.

Google AI Essentials

Currently Exploring

I'm currently working through this โ€” doing some vibe coding, continuing to use Google Forms, and exploring OAuth work. I don't have enough experience with it yet to give you a proper recommendation, so I'm flagging it honestly as a work in progress.

Why Some Popular Tools Aren't Here

You may notice some well-known tools are missing โ€” Grammarly, Make, DALL-E, and others. They're not here because I haven't used them enough to speak to them honestly. That's the standard. If I can't tell you what I actually did with it and what I genuinely think, it doesn't belong on this page.

As my experience with other tools grows, this page will grow with it โ€” but only on those terms.

Using Something I Should Know About?

If there's a tool making a real difference in your work, I'd genuinely like to hear about it. No guarantees โ€” but if I try it and it earns a spot, I'll say so.
